Dear Knowflakes,

As you have learned elsewhere, my duties at the LindaGoodman net have been changed, and I am delighted about them and really looking forward to the change. While Lindy will be doing the text for the daily horoscope, I will be assisting in some of the preparation of them, and that will help me and all of you with this new forum that Crystal and Greg have asked me to moderate.

Over the course of the last few months, many of you have been asking specific questions about your chart and events and I have been answering them as I have had time. With my new duties, I will try to get back to you sooner, and also will be continuing starting threads about the events in the sky that I have done for the last few months. One note though - while I will be happy to answer questions about specific questions, it will not be possible to analyze your chart and do long term transits and progressions - there will be a mechanism developed for that to be done, and when it is ready we'll post an announcement.

The intent of the new forum is for these types of questions ONLY, and other questions that you may have can be asked on the other four forums - which I will check from time to time as well. I will endeavor to look at the site 2 to 4 times a day (maybe a little less on weekends), and get back to you as soon as I can. There will be some periods that I will not be able to get back as quickly, as I am for one scheduled to deliver a presentation on Vulcan at a conference in a month or so, and naturally I will not be as available. Also, if the question requires some thought, I may do some research and thought before answering it.

The input is not limited to me - many of you have a great deal of astrological knowledge as well, and your thoughts are welcome as well. But I will do my best to fulfill my role as "resident astrologer" of LindaGoodman.net.

Some of you have requested that an ephemeris be put on the site, and Greg is in the process of implementing it - what we are planning on doing is to keep a year ahead, so when it comes up, you will have the opportunity to look well ahead.

When I have some time to develop it, I will be putting together some material on esoteric astrology - which is a higher level of astrology and is in the formulation stage - it comes from the material that Masters gave to Alice Bailey many years ago, and is only really starting to emerge.

Last but not least, I want to say that this is YOUR forum, and ideas for what it is to encompass are very welcome.

I want to thank all of your for your very kind words and your support - it is truly amazing to meet so many wonderful, loving people in such a short time.

Where will your Vulcan forum be held?
Is it an 'open to the public' happening?

I will be giving a lecture at the University of the Seven Rays conference which will be held in San Diego from April 5th to April 9th.

The major thing about it is that it will be on Vulcan's role as the sacred planet on Ray 1 - the Ray of Will and Power - which gets us into esoteric astrology.

The focus will be on one, why the Tibetan Master has stated that Vulcan has already been discovered by us, and the question is when and why the astronomers have not recognized it, and two, since it has not been officially been discovered what are the implications about that in terms of its role in esoteric astrology and psychology.

As yet, I do not know when it is to be presented. I do know that there will be a tape made of it.

What I will do is to go to the University's site and provide a link to it from this thread.

I was hoping not to put this in - but it has already started to happen.

I have been seeing a number of specific questions couched in a general way, and those can't be answered without specific birth information.

So, if you are going to ask a question, please following information:

Date of birth or the event
The time - include the time zone
Place of birth or event - please give the longitude and latitude

That information will help us all - I can't answer the question, and so I have to ask for it, and you don't get the information you are wanting as quickly as you want it.

As for the conference, I have not even begun to write up what I am going to say - I have a general outline of where I am going with the talk, but specifics - and I know myself well enough that I know there will be radical departures from what I prepared.

Also, after I give the basic topic I want to open up to the floor for discussion - and I know my co-presenter well enough (13 years) that there will be some curves thrown as well...

Yes, there has been a lot to do with my parents - my Father is starting to decline rapidly and because of his status a lot of the things that children have to do after a parent passes on is having to be dealt with NOW. One of my sisters came into town over the weekend, and a lot of decisions were made and they will have to be followed through quickly.

For all of the rest of you, this is why I have not been as responsive as I want to be, and I hope you can bear with me. Today is the first day I have had some time...

Hi Dave- I have been reading your requests for longitude and latitude and time zones, etc. I know for myself, who is not well equiped to look up this type of information, a certain website I found out about on this site, looks it all up for you. All you need to enter is your date of birth, time of birth and city you were born in. The computer does the rest.

People asking you questions could look up this info themselves or you could just as easily look it up for them. The site is www.astrodient.com

I just wanted to give you some idea of my normal availability.

Monday through Friday I normally log in at about 8 AM Eastern time, and then check 3 or 4 more times during the day - I try to make last check around 10 PM Eastern time - I do need to get some sleep!

On weekends, I will try to log in by 10 AM each day and because the weekends are normally spent with my girl friend, I won't be able to check as often.

You need to add 8 hours for Greenwich time (4 PM) and 10 more hours for Sydney (2 AM the next day).

Your conference & presentation on Vulcan sounds fasinating! Quite interesting what the Tibetan Master said about Vulcan! Do you mean the Dahli Lamma? I saw him speak in Pittsburgh in 11/98. He was Quite amazing! Gentle, sweet, cute, & he had a wonderful sense of humor!
