Congratulations on your new thread and thanx for all the information you have so kindly shared with everyone, I've learned alot from u !
I've been interested in astrology for the past ten years, but I've only recently begun to really delve into it. Can you recommend any books for a (sort of) beginner? I've read all of Linda's wonderful books, but I don't know where to go from here.
Great choices! Whenever I recommend books for those just starting out in astrology, I always recommend the first two choices on your list. Another favorite of mine is Manual of Astrology by Sepharial. I also like The Astrologer's Handbook by Sackoian & Acker. I haven't read any of Alan Oken's material, but I may pick up Complete Astrology the next time I'm at a metaphysical bookstore.
The Manual of Astrology by Sepharial was written in the early 1900's and the tone of the book reflects it - Mars and Saturn were"evil" and Venus and Jupiter were "good". That's my problem - astrology has matured enough that "good" and "evil" don't reside within the planets - but within how we each individually use them.
