Cynn,
In the mean time, it dawned on me that what I can do is to paste below what I said - that is easy to do!

So, here we go...
When I am asked to compare two charts, most of the time I look at the synastry of the two charts. The computer program that I use does this easily, and from it I can generally tell if the relationship is a continuation from a prior life time. The key factors that I use are the following:
1. Are there any Venus Pluto aspects?
2. Are there any Saturn aspects? There is no hard and fast rule in what I am looking for, but key indicators would be a Saturn to Sun, Moon, and Venus aspect. Also, I look at the number of aspects that Saturn forms - and whether they are major or minor.
3. How many and what are the aspects among the planets among the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter - these are the "personal" planets. The more there are, the more likely it is a karmic relationship.
I use these indicators to see if the relationship is karmic - and in some cases, I use my intuition. If it is the case that many of the karmic indicators are not present, then that does not mean that it is "bad" - again, we all form new relationships throughout our lifetimes, and that is fine also.
