Hi Dave, I've been waiting a few days to post this, but I need to make a decision, can't postpone it any longer. I had a small business of my own for 4 years, but was burglarised last year on sept 11. All the equipment I needed to work was gone. I had insurance, but they paid less than I needed to buy everything again, and besides it took so long that I had to pay debts with that money. There are no bankrupcy laws here, but I have to decide what to do with my future. a) Close for good and start a new proyect I have in mind. (need to get money for that though.) b) Look for a job c) Not close, and give new impulse and energy to my business. What I really would like is to close for good and open a Bookstore. Please Dave look at my chart and see if there is something that might help me decide. Beatriz

Tish, I am working on it, and have a couple of questions for you - one, what was taken, two, how did they get in, and three, do the police have any suspects? Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, There was taken, two computers, two printers, two modems, three telephones, one cd player, one amplifier, about 80 cd's, one wall clock. At first it looked like thay had jumped the outer wall, and then broken a window. There was one major suspect, one of the teachers that worked with me. thanks

Tish, A "hoary" chart is a chart of the moment that a question is asked. I really have never done one, and there are a lot of rules to them. It is used for such things as your question, or "will I find my lost purse" type of question. Thomas is very good at this type of thing - from what I saw in the chart I did cast, it looks good, but I really don't know. Thanks Dave

Tish: I did a horary chart for this particular series of questions. I always do my horary charts for the time and place I read and understand or generate the question. I had the chart generated this morning even though I didn't attempt to interpret at that time. It seems that all this is a moot point for some reason. The first thing that struck me was a course void Moon, which means that there will probably not be much action either way concerning your questions. The status quo, whatever that is, will probably be the future of this particular set of options. This is what I think is your best course, however. I think it would be best if you got a job in a bookstore. I view you as the cusp of the 7th. The 11th (your 5th) is ruled by Mercury, which is at the cusp of the 12th (your 6th) forming a wonderful sextile to the MidHeaven. This is your strongest and most beneficial aspect. Another option might be to form a partnership, if you have any possibilities. Mercury also rules the 2nd in the horary (your 8th), so you could get financial support from others. In any case, with Mercury's placement in your 6th, you would be more the junior partner, if that makes any sense. I don't see anything that supports you continuing your present course of business. The rulers of your 10th (Scorpio) aren't all that strong. Mars, co-ruler of Scorpio, is weakly aspected in the 12th of the horary. Pluto, primary ruler or Scorpio, is at the cusp of your 11th. Pluto indicates transformation and shows that you need to think in terms of a transformation of your business somehow. Pluto sextiles Uranus and Neptune, Sag to Aqu, and shows possibilites for a metaphysical bookstore. The metaphysical bookstore concept is also reinforced by Jupiter in the 10th in this chart trine Neptune. Jupiter is in literary Gemini, and Jupiter itself rules publishing and all related matters. Jupiter and Saturn in the 10th confirm that you would be excellent in a managerial or executive capacity. So, it would be ideal to seek a position as a bookstore manager. Another thing to consider in terms of business is the difficulties you will probably face in financing. Neptune in the horary rules the 8th (your 2nd). You'd probably end up defaulting on a loan, or further draining your personal resources to keep things afloat. As Neptune squares the MC, you would also need to avoid accepting money from shady sources, which could undermine your professional security. Venus rules the horary's 3rd (your 9th) and underscores the importance of contracts and literacy in some sense. I don't know much about your area, but perhaps the dearth of advertising mediums would make it hard to promote your business. Perhaps people would love to buy from you (Venus), but you may be in an area where not too many people can read (Venus square MC). Hope this helps. Thomas

Hi Thomas, Thanks for making the horary chart. I sure makes sense. It describes exactly what is happening, now I see more clear where I need to go. There are not opportunities for me working on a bookstore, there is only one big enough to employ people, and is run by the whole family, the other ones are very small. That's why I came with the idea, we are really in the need of a good bookstore. I posted the questions to Dave a few days ago, and while I was waiting, I decided to write an e-mail to the owner of an Internet cafe, that has grown a lot in the past year, he already has three cafes in Guatemala and is opening one in El Salvador. He had given me his card about four months ago, just found it yesterday. He answered very quickly and is interested in us working together, he asked me if I wanted to continue working on computer lessons or that if I had any new ideas, that we could work it out to implement them. So it would be like you said me as a junior partner. At least now I know where to go, I just hope something comes out from this opportunity. Thanks a lot again, Thomas For you too, Dave

Thomas, I have a question for you - why did you chose the moment that you looked into the chart rather than the time that it was posted? The only reason why I am asking this is that I know of one time that you did use the time of the posting of the chart. What differences would that make, if any? Tish, I was wondering about bookstores where you live, and I am glad you mentioned the circumstances - my concern was that of how "free" are people in your country to buy books, etc - it is in America not as free as one thinks, but I suspect that it is better than where you live. I think you are on the right track! Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, I'm sorry I don't understand your question quite well. I what sense do you mean "free"? prohibition of certain books or censured? If that is the question, I haven't heard of any prohibition, but I'll investigate. We have a law that benefits education, so any book pays less taxes than other kind of products imported. Another issue positive for me, is that I already have the way of getting the books in Guatemala, my boyfriend brings a Cargo on ship every two weeks with the stuff for his stores and he can bring the boxes. So, everything sounds as a good project. I think it is important to mention that my boyfriend offered giving me the money, but I don't want to make that commitment, for many reasons. Thanks,

Hi Dave: I have never used the posting of a question on the BBs as the basis for any of the horary charts I've done here. I went back and reviewed the horaries I've done here to see if I could find one where I gave that impression. Do you recall the case? I always do charts according to when I read or understand or generate the question. The only exception is when others who know I do these kinds of charts will note the time specifically for horary purposes. I don't like others to do this because all charts don't lend themselves well to horary analyses. I think it's better for the astrologer to determine which methods he or she will use in any particular case. I guess it would be OK to use the time of posting as a basis for a horary chart, as long as the person doing the horaries decides in advance that the charts will be cast based on that data. I can't say for sure. However, since my rule is to do the charts based on the time I encounter the question or issue -- and since my Higher Self respects consistency (so as not to breed confusion) -- I stick to doing the charts my established way. Thomas

Thomas, Many thanks for your response - unfortunately with over 800 threads and thousands of entries, I do not remember which one it was. But I do in the back of my mind recall you saying something like "I took the data from the time and date that the thread was posted". And I did see that you do exceptions when you know when the other person has a specific time and place was asked. I understand why you do what you do - it is simply a matter of being consistent. I try to do the same thing with how I do things. Tish, If you were to open a bookstore, particularly if it is more metaphysical than most, then yes, you should check into what the laws are - unfortunately there is very little reported in the US about your country. And I am glad that you have a source of getting material shipped to you easily, and that you are not getting money from your boy friend - you are doing things right. Hang in there! Dave

Tish, If this is to be your main source of income, do some market analysis too! I know we would all shop in your bookstore (if it wasn't so expensive to fly down ), but often a mistake people going into business make is the assumption that because you like something, other people do too. Please don't take this as an attempt to disuade you from your purpose, I just happen to be trying to do the same thing (SYNCHRONICITY ) and have come to the conclusion that my community can't support my original concept. But, there are lots of ways around it, so you can feel good about doing what you think is important, but make the ends meet too. This probably isn't the place to talk business, but if you need some marketing stratagies....well fourtunatley I know more about that than astrology (For now......) Good Luck!!!!!! Peace, Terri

Hi Dave, Thanks for the support, and I will check today about laws, I had no idea there where that kind of laws. Hi Terri, For the moment I am in no position of openning the bookstore, but I will continue giving life to the project, until the right moment. I am not giving up hope of doing it.
I have to do a market research, but I am almost sure that it will have to be a combination of regular bestsellers and metaphysical books, in English and in Spanish. When the right moment comes I'll tell you about my plans, thanks for the offer!!!!

Tish, That sounds great!!! You seem to have more than one really good idea going there. All of it sounds facinating to me. You must have loads of patience to teach adults computers. I tought Freebird how to use this one and it about drove me batty. I love my mother. If it had been any other person I would have moved and left no forwarding address. I also think you're right to examine your ideas from every angle. I too am considering a change in my approach to my career, and your methods have reminded me of how I need to be careful while still listening to the voice inside. Your an inspiration! Hi Tish Keep at it girl and don't give up!! (Been away a lot, will write soon). Are you still gonna incorporate the Student Aid Return/Buy idea I suggested? These poor students could sure do with the help. Germany totally successful. British one I was telling you about the guy "thinking" about doing. Taken off like a rocket.....!! AriesC

Hi AriesC, Nice to hear from you!!!!! Yes, I intend on incorporating the idea for the students. It was a great advise!!!!! I'm still working on the financing, but I am doing my affirmations, and already feel something is "cooking" on the air. I found a place in a shopping mall, that is being leased, that would be perfect to incorporate the cafe with the books. Just need to investigate on "how it works", as we don't have any in Guatemala. And found the perfect name, it has a very good vibration number. Everything is going great!!!!! P.S. MY sons are reading the material you gave me, and it's amazing the little things they have accomplished in so short time! Love, Beatriz
