Conscious Community: Contemplating Connections
by Carrie

Connections ...
the essence of all human existence. We feel alone when we lack connections
to others, and we feel loved when we have many connections to others. Whether
they be physical, spiritual, mental, or emotional, we cannot deny that we
are human and we need to feel connections, not only to each other, but also
to the world and to God. Even a lack of a connection can signify something
to us.
Our connections
even define us in certain ways. Who we know, what ideals we associate ourselves
with, where we live, and what religion or group we belong to are just a few.
So what is really important in all this mass of connections? Is it who we
connect to in our lives? Is it what kinds of feelings, traits, and ideals
we associate with our self? Is it our connection to God that matters? Its
not an easy question to answer, and if you look around you find that different
people put a different value on each. Some like to live their lives partying
and knowing as many people as they can set eyes on. Some like to spend as
much time as they can developing their own ambitions through their own hard
work. Some like to spend every free second they have studying some book on
religion or spirituality. Truly, Id like to think that all are important
in some aspect.
Humans have been
explorers since the beginning of our being, always pushing the boundaries
and classifying, categorizing, and correlating different phenomenon and human
activity and finding reasons for everything. Something in our psyche urges
us to go farther and find out how the giant puzzle of existence fits together.
More and more, we find that we are all the same, and that, while we may not
agree on things all the time, we all are coming from that same need in our
heart: the need to connect, to love, to understand. It will still take a
long time for society as a whole to truly realize this, but it is starting
to happen among us on a small scale.
What can we do
to help start down this path of connection? Again, we can connect, love,
and understand. So many people forget to appreciate those around them or
even give thanks for what they do have. We could learn how to live our lives
fully and make those connections, because in the end, thats what it
all comes down to. Who youve loved and laughed with in this life. What
youve done to put forth something into the world thats positive
and bright. So many people waste their time worrying about what people think,
or how insignificant they are in the scheme of things. They take so much
time to focus on the negative that they completely overlook the fact that
they are the only ones not letting the positive into their lives. It is important
to see that connection.
Now, on to those
loved ones in our lives right now.
*White
Light and Love for... *
-
Our beloved
ringleader, webmaster Greg. Hopefully the crises will slow down for him soon,
and he will be able to strike some sort of balance and find his ground again.
-
Terri and
her family. The little ones are ill, and they will need some healing
light.
-
Rusty. Hopefully
hell also be able to get things in order and come back and talk to
us more often!
-
Anyone who
has been adversely affected by Saturn or the eclipse or Uranus or any of
the other icky transits that just seem to keep right on coming for some
people.
-
Anyone and
everyone else who I might have missed. It seems that people have been a bit
more distraught or foggy-headed as of late. May we all be able to pull together
and come through together.
So thats
the white light and love section for this month. Also, I wish Skydancer a
very happy belated birthday! If any of you would like to send in some requests
for white light and love or birthdays, or any comments you want to make about
what Im talking about, all are greatly appreciated. Just PM me
(enchantress299) or e-mail us at
metamorphosis@consciousevolution.com.
In closing, Id
like to remind us all to foster those connections that we all have. Tell
the people in your life that you do love them. Take a chance on someone you
dont know, but somehow have a gut feeling about. Go out and ground
yourself with a conversation to God. Remember what it is that connects you
to the person you are, and know that if your life were to fall away tomorrow
that youd still be the person you are because of who you are, not what
you do or what you have. Above all, forgive. Forgive yourself, forgive others,
and forgive God. Its the first step to understanding. |
