A New Approach to
Chart Interpretation
Part 1

by Rusty Hamilton

Over the past year I’ve had a lot of time on my hands. One project I started to keep myself busy was an attempt to finally learn to analyze any given astrological chart as a whole. I already knew the usual interpretations of the signs, houses, planets and aspects, but putting all those factors together to see the big picture was something else. As I began this project, I realized that I would need to start from “square one” and completely redesign my approach to astrology.

Vedic Star-way of Heaven
Part 1

by Anindita Basu

The night sky: an indigo cape embellished with twinkling stars, crowned with the Moon - gentle, cool, ambling from one end of the cape to the other...

In the first part of this series, we shall examine the first nine constellations, with special emphasis on their Vedic gods and ruling planets. Clicking on the name of the constellation in the chart will take you to its description.

Practicing Conscious Evolution
by Gregory Ellison

We can’t exactly “practice” conscious evolution in the same sense that we can practice roller-skating or playing the guitar, because evolution is not a skill, it’s a process. Many of the spiritual and metaphysical disciplines of the “new age” movement are thought to be tools for spiritual growth ... disciplines like astrology, tarot, I Ching, yoga, meditation, and so on. Footprints in the Soil
by Frances E.S. Campoy

Rainforests are filled with beauty, life, and new discoveries waiting to be exposed. By virtue of their richness in both animals and plants, they represent a store of living and breathing renewable resources that contribute to the wealth of resources for the survival and well-being of the human race. Yet, humans manage to strip away the beauty of the rainforest and overuse its natural resources for the technology they have become dependent on.

August Power Days of India
by Sucheta Shetty
and Anindita Basu

A silken thread the colour of gold becomes a powerful link of love from sister to brother in one of the holidays that makes August a joyful and power-packed month in India. The brother-and-sister celebration, midway through the Hindu lunar month of Shravan, is followed by joyous festivals in which two of the best-known and most-beloved gods of Hinduism hold centre stage.

August Star Watch
by Terri Smallwood

Welcome, Star Watchers, to August - the lazy hazy “dog days” of summer and the playful domain of Leo, king of the summer skies. The days of August are long and hot, and the evenings endless. No wonder we itch to toss aside work and other burdensome responsibilities in favor of lazy afternoons at the cottage and romantic nights strolling on the beach.

Conscious Community
by Carrie Chesney

I’m sure that we agree that these are all minor events that bring some measure of stress or relief to our lives, but they certainly can add up, can’t they?
