Butterflydance
by Thomas LaNeave
O Butterfly, dance your aerial ballet,
Youve come from afar to enlighten my day.
With colors so vivid that you glow like a flame,
And its apparent to me from a rainbow they came.
From flower to flower, you dance in between,
How beautiful you are, dancing butterfly queen!
The waltz and the tango, quite a dazzling display!
Yet in one brief shining moment
youll be waltzing away.
I smiled as you curtsied, before you danced out of sight,
Illumination bestowed by a dancing Deva in flight.
A beautiful flower
I wish I could be,
So I could await your return to light upon me.
A magical moment it most certainly will seem,
But until your return, its only a dream.
